Secret Fed Program Gave Billions to Banks Unknown to Congress

Comment: "Why is it that nobody ever mentions in stories like this the fact that the US dollar is supposed to be the tool with which American's, and all holders, PRESERVE their wealth? Most American's still don't realize that if they put $1000 in the bank, that the purchase power is less when they withdraw it because of the Fed using the dollar as an instrument of control rather than a store of value to be preserved... If this were brought up, the very basis of these debates would need to change."
